Packaged Salad Recall – D.C. Health Department
The Delaware County Health Department would like to take this opportunity to remind the public about the River Ranch Fresh Foods, LLC recall of retail and foodservice bagged salads due of the potential of being contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.
The product in the recall includes salad products distributed nationwide under various sizes and packaged under the brand names of River Ranch, Farm Stand, Hy-Vee, Marketside, Shurfresh, and The Farmer’s Market.
These products have a “Best Buy” code date between 12MAY2012-22MAY2012 or Julian dates between 116-125. These codes are typically found in the upper right hand corner of the bags. It is known that these products were sold locally, however, these products have been pulled from shelves.
It is also possible that these products were sold prior to the recall and might be in your refrigerator. Consumers who have purchased these products should not consume the product and are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
Those with questions can contact River Ranch at their 24-hour customer service center at 1-800-762-7708.
